The members of Panjim- Konkan Federation of the Past Pupils visited the Old age home specially for women at Serra, Altinho, Panaji Goa on September 8, 2024 accompanied by their families. Some Past Pupils from other units also joined in and cheered the inmates of this Home.


The Serra Old age home houses 30 women who are well taken care of by staff. Mr. Savio Noronha, Executive Member of the Federation of the Past Pupils of the Province of Panjim, was instrumental in planning the visit. The programme was well conducted wherein Konkani and English songs of yester years were sung accompanied by Kevin on his keyboards and Ben on the guitar. The inmates joined in the singing and also danced to the tunes of this music. Delegate, Provincial Federation, Father Avin Carvalho, spoke and prayed for the wellbeing of the inmates and those taking care of them. President, Provincial Federation, Mr. Luis Fernandes, expressed his gratitude to the caretakers for their service and for giving the Salesian Past Pupils the opportunity to come and spend some quality time to cheer the inmates. One of the Caretaker and the inmates were very thankful and praised us for this visit.
