Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) welcomed the First Batch of M.E. (Data Sciences) students and inaugurated the M.E. (Data Sciences) Lab by Superintendent of Police, South Goa, Mrs. Sunita Sawant on September 28, 2024.

The program commenced with the inauguration of the High End Computing Lab, which will serve as a critical resource for the M.E. (Data Sciences) students. Equipped with the latest technology, the lab is designed to foster innovation and research in data sciences.

In her keynote address, Mrs. Sawant emphasized the importance of being vigilant and aware in today’s rapidly evolving world. She raised awareness about various crimes, including road accidents, cybercrime, and fraudulent activities. She highlighted the increasing role of technology in both preventing and solving crimes, stressing the importance of education in promoting safety and responsibility. Mrs. Sawant's address shed light on how data sciences can aid in crime analysis, road safety monitoring, and combating cyber frauds.
The event also served as a platform to welcome the new batch of M.E. (Computer Aided Structural Engineering) students, reflecting the college's commitment to creating a vibrant and enriching academic environment for all postgraduate students.
