The communit's of Don Bosco Academy, Sutgatti has been bubbling with excitement for quite some time now. A lot of factors have contributed to this prolonged excitement. Chief among them is the fact that the community is fairly new and young, and a number of small projects have already been taken up and are being worked upon. One of the key reasons for the excitement is the advent of the new rector.

Fr Francis Silveira, the new rector has brought with him an air of freshness and vigour that has swept through Don Bosco Academy, Sutgatti, from the first moment he set foot in its compound on May 25. In the short time he has been there, he has already begun to breathe new life into the place and its apostolate. His constant presence and vigilance around the house ensure that nothing untoward occurs and that everyone feels the animating presence of the Rector.

Fr Ian Figueiredo arrived on the evening of June 20 for the official installation of Fr Francis Silveira as the Rector of Don Bosco Academy, Sutgatti. The installation was done during the Holy Eucharist on the following day. The Mass was animated by the boarders under the direction of the assistant. The singing was lively and the participation in the celebration was active. Fr Ian urged the community and the boarders to cooperate with Fr Francis for without their cooperation he can do nothing and with it he can do great things. With these words of exhortation, he installed the new rector and brought to a head the excitement the community was harbouring for quite some time.

With the new Rector in place, things have already begun to look up. One can only wait and see how much he can achieve and what good he will do.
