The Inter-College Basketball Tournament, organized by the Goa University Sports Section, for 17 men's teams and 13 women's teams from various colleges across Goa, all vying for the top spot in their respective categories was successfully held from August 19 to 22, 2025, at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim.



In the men's section, Don Bosco College (DBC), Panjim, started strong, securing a win in their first match against Kare College of law, Margao. However, their winning streak was halted in the second match, where they narrowly lost to Goa Engineering College by a single point, with the score being 15-16. Despite the tough competition, the team's performance showcased their skills and determination on the court.



The women's team of Don Bosco College, Panjim, witnessed an outstanding display of talent and teamwork. They kicked off the tournament with a convincing win against Father Agnel College, Pilar, in their first match. Their journey continued with a thrilling victory over Dhempe College in the semi-finals, which secured their spot in the finals. In the final showdown, the Don Bosco team demonstrated exceptional prowess, triumphing over Saint Xavier's College with an impressive score of 47-22. This dominating performance earned them the title of champions in the women's category.



Don Bosco College Panjim’s star player, Sarah Hussain, was recognized for her outstanding contributions throughout the tournament. She was awarded the Player of the Tournament in the female category, a testament to her hard work, skill, and dedication to the sport.
