Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda, has been conferred with the NDLI Club Excellence Award 2025 by the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) for its exemplary contribution towards promoting digital learning and knowledge-sharing among students. The award was presented during the 4th International Symposium on Knowledge Engineering in Digital Library Design (KEDLD-2025) held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur from 3rd to 5th November 2025.
The NDLI initiative, developed at IIT Kharagpur under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, recognizes institutions across the country for their active NDLI Clubs that foster creativity, learning, and research through innovative use of digital resources. DBCE’s NDLI Club was selected for its consistent engagement in organizing diverse, student-centered activities that blended technology, creativity, and applied learning.
The award was received by Dr Francisco Rolando Rodrigues Da Cruz, Librarian of DBCE, who represented the college at the symposium. Over the past year, the NDLI Club at DBCE has conducted several enriching sessions including workshops on LaTeX documentation, Desmos, ChatGPT applications in Excel and PowerPoint, CNC machining, reinforcement learning, and creative topics such as origami and space exploration. These initiatives reflect the college’s vision of encouraging holistic learning and skill development.
The college acknowledged the contribution of its students, faculty coordinators, and management for their continued support in making the NDLI Club a vibrant learning community. The achievement underscores DBCE’s dedication to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in engineering education.
