Faculty Member Completes Faculty Mentor Development Programme under Mukhyamantri Swayam Rozgar Yojana

Faculty Member, Vandana Patil, of the department of business administration (Travel and Tourism), Don Bosco College, Panjim Goa, successfully completed a week-long Faculty Mentor Development Programme (FMDP) conducted under the Mukhyamantri Swayam Rozgar Yojana, in association with EDC Limited, the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce, Government of Goa, and the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa. The programme was held at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad–Goa.

The programme aimed at strengthening the mentoring capabilities of faculty members to effectively guide students towards entrepreneurship and self-employment. The sessions covered key areas such as entrepreneurial ecosystem development, government support schemes, start-up incubation, business model development, financial planning, and innovation-driven opportunities.

Through expert-led sessions, practical case studies, and interactive discussions, participants gained valuable insights into fostering an entrepreneurial mind-set among students and promoting sustainable business ventures under state-supported initiatives.

Ms. Vandana Patil expressed her sincere gratitude to Director, Don Bosco College, Panjim, Father Kinley D’Cruz and Principal Professor Teotone Vaz for granting her the opportunity to attend the programme and for their continued encouragement and support. She further stated that the knowledge and skills gained from the programme will be shared with faculty members and students to strengthen entrepreneurial awareness and encourage innovation-driven career pathways within the institution. The participation reflects the institution’s commitment towards academic excellence, skill development, and alignment with the Government of Goa’s vision for youth empowerment and entrepreneurship promotion.
