An animation program on leadership was successfully conducted by Father Austin Fernandes with the help and assistance of Ms. Alia Colaco at Auxilium High School, Benaulim- Goa for students of Standards 8 to 10. The session took place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on April 11, 2026. It focused on the theme of leadership, particularly addressing how to become an effective leader and why young leaders are essential in today’s world. The program aimed to inspire students to develop confidence, responsibility, and teamwork skills.
The session began on an energetic note with an action song, Follow the Leader, which encouraged active participation. Following this, Ms. Colaco delivered a PowerPoint presentation explaining the concept of leadership, the qualities of a good leader, and the importance of initiative, clear thinking, and responsibility in everyday life.
To make the learning experience more interactive, Father Fernandes conducted a game that emphasized decision-making and teamwork. Through this activity, students were able to understand the practical aspects of leadership, such as cooperation, communication, and problem-solving, in a fun and engaging manner.
The program continued with the screening of selected video clips from movies and other sources, highlighting real-life examples of leadership and teamwork. These visual aids helped reinforce the concepts discussed earlier. The session concluded with a few inspiring words from Father Fernandes, encouraging the students to apply these leadership qualities in their daily lives and to grow into responsible young leaders.
