Trasi, June 20, 2026: Don Bosco School, Trasi, celebrated International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. The programme was organized for students of Classes V to VIII to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and the importance of yoga in daily life on June 20, 2026 at the Don Bosco CBSC school hall, Trasi.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Rector and Principal, Father Maxim D’Souza, and Vice Rector and Vice Principal, Father Sandesh Fernandes. The event began with a formal gathering, followed by a yoga session conducted by the Physical Education Instructor, Mr. Keshav.
During the session, students practised various yoga postures, including Surya Namaskar and Padmasana, while learning about their health benefits and correct techniques.
Addressing the gathering, Father D’Souza highlighted the significance of yoga in maintaining physical health and mental well-being. He encouraged students to make yoga a part of their daily routine for holistic development.
Students participated enthusiastically and performed the yoga exercises with discipline and dedication. The programme concluded successfully, inspiring everyone to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle through the practice of yoga.
