Department of Business Administration (Travel & Tourism) Hosts an Inspiring Session on Experiential Tourism

The Department of Business Administration (Travel & Tourism), Don Bosco College, Panjim, organized an engaging and informative session for the First Year BBA (Travel & Tourism) students on Friday, July 31, 2026. The session was conducted in collaboration with the Yuva Club and featured Mr. Royston Braganza from Soul Travelling, one of Goa's leading heritage and experiential tourism organizations.



The session titled, Introducing the Organization: Soul Travelling and Experiential Tourism, provided students with valuable insights into the evolving landscape of experiential tourism and the importance of preserving Goa's rich cultural heritage through responsible and immersive travel experiences.

Mr. Braganza shared the inspiring journey of Soul Travelling, highlighting how authentic storytelling, community engagement, and sustainable tourism practices have transformed heritage walks into meaningful experiences for visitors. He emphasized the growing demand for experiential tourism and encouraged students to view tourism beyond sightseeing by creating memorable experiences rooted in local culture, traditions, and history.

The interactive session enabled students to understand career opportunities in the tourism industry, heritage interpretation, destination storytelling, and entrepreneurship. Through practical examples and real-life experiences, students gained a deeper appreciation of how innovative tourism initiatives contribute to cultural preservation and sustainable destination development.
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session where students enthusiastically engaged with the speaker, making the event both informative and inspiring. The session successfully motivated students to explore experiential tourism as an emerging and sustainable career pathway while reinforcing the importance of preserving Goa's unique heritage.

Exploring stories, creating connections and inspiring journeys, truly reflected the essence of the programme, leaving participants inspired to become future ambassadors of responsible and experiential tourism.
