Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, along with Don Bosco Pre-Novitiate Community, Loutulim- Goa, celebrated Teacher's Day, on September 4-5, 2026. With the Eucharistic celebration and a programme well planned and organized, solely by the higher secondary students in the audio-visual hall, for the teachers.
The Teacher's Day programme was initiated by offering flowers to the teachers by the students. Followed by the words of gratitude by Manager and Rector, Father Ian Figueiredo. In his message, he spoke about the impact a teacher can make on a student, that can determine his or her future.
Later, the 11 Class students performed an original song titled, Poile Katar. This song stressed the role and importance of a teacher. The diploma students performed a dance to entertain the teachers. An address was read for the teachers by master Joshua Fernandes, the class 11 representative.
The pre-novices presented a song titled, You Have Made a Difference and performed a dance, showcasing their love for the teachers. The 12 Class students did an enactment, that focused on the values that are taught to the students by the teachers.
Finally, the teacher's day concluded with the cutting of the cake and the vote of thanks by Tr. Sylvia Fernandes. The teachers were grateful to the students for making them feel special by using their talents and organization skills.
