Fr Almeida and Fr Savio with the champions of Annual Sports Meet 22

Every Don Bosco institution is stands on four pillars and they are it's a home, a school, a place of prayer and a playground said, Father Bernardino Almeida on the occasion of the final day of the Annual Sports Meet 2022 at Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Oros on November 30, 2022.

Addressing the gathering of students, teachers, management, parents and guests Father Almeida said, Don Bosco always wanted his boys to feel at home away from home, a place where there are fathers, brothers, sisters and mothers who love them and care for them like in a family. Secondly, it's a school where learning takes place and knowledge and wisdom is imparted to the students. Thirdly, it's a place of prayer. Every activity begins with prayer and ends with prayer to inculcate in the students that we need God in our lives to make it meaningful and fruitful. And finally, it's a playground. There is no Don Bosco institution without the playground. Don Bosco believed it is on the playground you get to know the real person and he is free and spontaneous.
Father Almeida also shared his experience of founding the school in 1996 in two small houses and later with the intervention of God and the Collector of Oros was able to acquire the present land and build the school.

The students participated in the week long field and track events and the finals of a few events was held on the final day. Students of various levels put up variety drills to the beat of popular songs and music. Medals, certificates and trophies for championship in each category was also given on the occasion.

Green house of Subhas Chandra Bose was adjudged as the over all champions and took away the grand trophy. Yellow house won the best marching troop award.
