Father Nester Furtado ordained a Priest

Deacon Nester Furtado was ordained a priest of God at an elaborate and solemn mass by Bishop Emeritus of Port Blair, Alex Dias SFX at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, Don Bosco Panjim, Goa on December 17, 2022.

Bishop in his instruction to the ordinand said, Nester always follow the heart of Jesus your Master in everything you do by walking in the footsteps laid down by your Father and Founder Saint John Bosco.

Father Furtado chose to take the quote from the letter to the Philippians, I can do all things through Him who strengthens me as his ordination motto. Born on June 15, 1994 to parents, Nelson and Christalina Furtado, Father Furtado completed his initial schooling from Regina Mundi, and later completed his higher secondary from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim. On May 24, 2013 he made his First profession at Nashik following which he went on to do his philosophical studies for three years at Diyvadaan Institute of Philosophy. He did his regency with great enthusiasm at various places in the province Panjim at Don Bosco Tuem, Don Bosco Shirva and Don Bosco Trasi. Later, on May 24, 2019, he made his final profession and surrendering himself to God and to the Salesians of Don Bosco pledging to work for the Salvation of young People. He completed his theology studies at Jnana Deepa, Pune.
