DBVK Honnihalli Holds Summer Camps in Villages

Summer programme

Don Bosco Vikas Kendra (DBVK) organized summer camps for the children of surrounding villages from April 17 to 22, 2023 at DBVK, Honnihalli. Around 30 students from Honnihalli and Konakeri villages participated in this summer camp. Cleric Joswin along with the Salesians at DBVK Father Santaremend Lopes and Father Willis Pinto coordinated the program.

The summer Club was inaugurated by In-charge, DBVK, Father Santaremend Lopes. Addressing the participating children, he said, the need to participate well in all the activities is more important than winning in order to gain a lot of confidence and knowledge for life. He concluded wishing them fun, learning and success.

A weeklong camp, filled with lot of activities such as Laptop\typing classes along with sessions on Basic English grammer were the highlights of this camp. The campers participated in various competitions like drawing, rangoli, greeting card, handwriting and dance. The children enjoyed a variety of animated games and action songs organized during the summer club. The children were enthusiastic and participated well in all the activities. The camp ended on a high note with the picnic to Belgaum. The students had a lot of fun and came to know about Don Bosco and the presence of Salesians in their locality.
