Perpetual Profession of Clerics Joy and Trevor

At a solemn Eucharistic celebration at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, Don Bosco Panjim, Cleric Joy Pinto and Cleric Trevor Rodrigues made their perpetual profession before the Provincial, Salesian Province of Panjim, Father Clive Telles on May 24, 2023.

Preacher, Vice Provincial, Father Teixeira Banzelao drew three lessons for Salesian pastoral ministry from Mary's intervention at the wedding feast of Cana. First, being sensitive to the needs of others especially the youngsters around. For various reasons they may not approach you for help, but it is the duty of a Salesian to go in search of lost youth and to address their needs. Secondly, if you are not capable of helping the young who face difficulties, like Mary, you should be able to seek the help of those who can and address their needs. And finally, once you have done your service, do not seek for recognition.

On behalf of the Salesian province of Panjim, Provincial, Father Clive Telles, thanked the parents of Clerics Joy and Trevor for encouraging them to pursue their vocation to priesthood and assured them of God's choicest blessing on their families. He also thanked the formation houses and the Salesian communities of Don Bosco Boys Home, Tuem and Don Bosco, Sulcorna who assisted them in the final stages of their preparation to the make their final vows.

Salesians of the Salesian province of Panjim, parents, relatives, friends and vocation boys from various houses attended the solemn occasion.
