Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda welcomed Don Gianni (Father Giovanni Rolandi) on November 22, 2023, on the campus accompanied by Rector, Don Bosco Fatorda, Father Ralin D'Souza, and Director, DBCE, Father Kinley D'Cruz,. Father Rolandi is making the Extraordinary Visitation to Don Bosco Fatorda on behalf of the Rector Major, Father Angel Artime Fernandez.

Addressing the Principal, Dr Neena Panandikar and Heads of the Departments, Father Rolandi was in awe of the milestones and achievements of the institute, staff, and students at the institute. He appreciated the efforts of the institute towards academics, overall development, and social commitment.

In his interaction with the students at the institute, Father Rolandi said, I am amazed to see the achievements and progress. You are blessed to receive such education in this institution, and I have witnessed it now during an interaction with the Principal and HODs, the proof of the amazing work done by this institute. In response to the questions asked by the students, he spoke about his experiences as a missionary in Africa and the challenges faced by missionaries in the world. He shared his vocational journey and his calling to join the Salesians.

Similarly, a discussion was held for the entire staff of the institution too. On behalf of Rector Major, Father Artime, Father Rolandi thanked the staff as a Don Bosco family. He emphasized loving kindness and wished the teacher to speak to the students in the language of the heart.

At the end of the program, the staff received good wishes and blessings from Father Rolandi. Dr. Neena Panandikar welcomed Father Rolandi with a bouquet of flowers and Father Kinley D'Cruz presented a token of love and appreciation on behalf of Don Bosco College of Engineering to Don Gianni.
