Don Bosco School Boys Advance to State Level Table Tennis

In a thrilling display of sportsmanship and skill, Don Bosco School, Sutgatti-Hubli, representing Hubli Rural Taluka, triumphed in the District-level Under 14 table tennis championship by defeating Lions School from Hubli City Taluka in a hard-fought match. This victory highlights the school’s dominance in the tournament and underscores the dedication and talent of its athletes. The winning team included Himanshu, Real, Stephan from Class 6, Rohan from Class 7 and Nethan from Class 8. Real, Stephan and Rohan have been selected for the district team that will be participating in the state level tournament.

In addition to their Under 14 championship win, the Under 17 boys' team from Don Bosco School earned a commendable second place in their category, narrowly losing to Dharwad City Taluka. This impressive performance at the district level sports, showcases the importance the school gives to extracurricular activities and its focus on sports in particular. The Under 17 team consisted of Aulton, Zaid, Melwin, Dominic of Class 10 and Joseph of Class 8. Aulton and Zaid have been selected for the District team that will be participating in the state tournament.

The success of both the senior and junior teams marks a significant achievement for Don Bosco School, enhancing their reputation in district-level sports and setting a high standard for future competitions. The students owe much of their success to the Principal, Father Merwin, Coach Brother, Infancio, and Physical Education Teacher, Patrick.
