Don Bosco College students at CCR TV Studio
The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Don Bosco College, Panjim organised an educational visit to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Television (CCR TV) studio to help students understand the functioning of a studio. Technical and Creative Head, CCR TV, Shamiro Deniz, explained the basic operations of the studio as well as the equipment and setup involved.
During the practical session, 20 students from TY BAMC were divided into two groups to shoot a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) segment at the studio. Batch 1 created a DIY segment hosted by Devonna Gomes with Sandali Rewankar crafting a magic frame, while Batch 2 presented a DIY segment on paper flower-making, featuring artist Prachi Shirodkar and host Sharvi Dhond. Mr Deniz explained the software used for online switching, live broadcasting and outdoor broadcasting. He also provided tips on how to effectively host a segment and encouraged students to practice to improve their skills.
The students were accompanied by Mass Communication Department Coordinator, Assistant Professor, Archie Fernandes and TY BAMC Mentor, Assistant Professor Ardra Naik. The studio visit was both informative and enriching.
