Don Bosco College (DBC), Panjim organised a quiz and poster making competition on, Prevention of Sexual Harassment with the objective of enhancing awareness among students about the critical issue of sexual harassment at the workplace. The event was overseen by Assistant Professor, Junsa Mudras and by students of final year Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (BAMC), in collaboration with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Committee.


Five teams, namely BAMCJ, BCA, BCom, BA and BBA T&T participated in the quiz competition, which comprised three innovatively designed rounds. The first round, titled, Flag It Up, tested participants on the regulations and provisions of the POSH Act, 2013. The second round was a visual round, where participants rolled a dice to select a folder with questions corresponding to the number rolled. The final rapid fire round assessed their quick thinking and knowledge. After a closely-fought contest, the BBA T&T team secured first place while BAMCJ emerged as the runner-up.

In the poster making competition, participants conveyed their insight on the theme, Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace. The FY BAMCJ team won the first place, while FY BCA secured second place. The poster competition was adjudicated by head of the POSH Committee, Assistant Professor Vandana Patil, who also presented medals to the winners.
