A lively Scouts and Guides camp was held at Don Bosco Sutgatti from October 5 to 7, 2024 attended by 26 enthusiastic students. The event tested the campers' resilience and adaptability, especially on the first day when heavy rain turned plans into a makeshift affair. Apart from the rain the highlight of the first day were the night games. Despite the challenging weather, the campers made the most of the situation.

The second day greeted them with bright sunshine, allowing the campers to rise early to the sounds of a whistle and the crowing of rooster. They began the day with a jog followed by the BP (Baden Powell) six exercises. For some an interesting highlight was the discovery that mango leaves and neem sticks can serve as natural toothbrushes. The flag break ceremony saw the scouts and guides in their neat uniforms. Breakfast was filled with laughter as they shared intriguing tales from the previous night. Under the guidance of Dn. Infancio, students learned valuable first aid skills using scarves, and after much anticipation, they successfully pitched their tents, eager to immerse themselves in nature.

The enthusiastic campers practiced knots and lashings with Scout Master Patrick and Guide Captain Geeta's assistance. Under the guidance of Father Merwin, after lunch, the campers created various gadgets, which enhanced their practical skills. A trek to a nearby hillock followed, allowing them to explore the beautiful surroundings.

As evening approached, the campers prepared for the much-anticipated campfire, which became the event's highlight. Joined by Rector Father Lionel, Father Sigmaringa, and Father James, the troop enjoyed a lively evening filled with songs and skits, fostering a strong sense of togetherness. The campfire festivities continued until midnight.

The night included sentry duty, with one student from each patrol kept watch for an hour. At 3 am, a surprise drizzle prompted a hurried relocation of their belongings, but the rain only lasted briefly.
As the camp concluded, students departed with a wealth of new skills and cherished memories, having truly embraced the spirit of adventure and learning.
