Young Salesians in Formation animated by Fr Banzelao

The Practical Trainees' Meet for the Salesian Province of Panjim was held from February 7 to 9, 2025, at Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel. The gathering brought together five brothers currently engaged in practical training, along with a few others pursuing their college studies. The program aimed at providing ongoing formation, reflection, and fraternity.

The brothers arrived on the evening of February 7 and began the program with an interactive session with the Provincial, Father Clive Telles. This session allowed the brothers to reflect on their Consecrated Identity.

On February 8, a formative session was conducted by the Vice Provincial, Father Banzelao Teixeira. The session focused on various aspects of religious life, emphasizing one’s relationship with God, the vows, and community life. The discussion provided valuable insights into the challenges and commitments of the Salesian vocation.

In the evening, the brothers were introduced to the latest document from the Social Communication sector of the Congregation, Amicable Communication with Today’s Young People. Each brother was assigned to study the document and prepare a presentation on its key themes.

The final day, February 9, began with a session by Father Joel D'Souza on Consecrated Life and the Call to be Counter-Cultural. This session challenged the brothers to reflect on how they are called to be witnesses of Christ. Following this, the presentations on the Social Communication document were delivered, enriching the discussions with practical applications.

The Practical Trainees’ Meet concluded with a moment of gratitude and fraternity, reinforcing the importance of ongoing formation and mutual support in the Salesian journey. The event provided an opportunity for reflection, learning, and renewal, equipping the brothers to continue their mission with greater enthusiasm and commitment.
