The Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament for both men and women, organized by Goa University, was held at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim on February 8, 2025. Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda, men’s team emerged champions for the second consecutive year.

The men’s team of DBCE displayed outstanding skill and dominance throughout the tournament, successfully defending their title as Goa Intercollegiate Champions for the second year in a row.

DBCE defeated Rosary College in the first match with a commanding score of 61-19. At the Quarterfinals, the team continued their strong performance by winning against MES Zuarinagar with a score of 40-12. In the semifinals, the match against SS Dempo College, DBCE secured a 57-34 victory reserving their place in the finals.



The championship match against St. Xavier’s College was a thrilling contest, where DBCE emerged victorious with an impressive score of 84-60, claiming the title once again.
The tournament was a great platform for our players to showcase their talent and teamwork. The men’s team’s back-to-back championship win reflected their dedication, rigorous training, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the players for their exceptional performance!

The women’s basketball team of DBCE also put up a strong performance at the tournament. In the first round, they secured a victory against Nirmala College of Education. However, in the quarterfinals, they faced a tough challenge against Don Bosco College, Panjim, and despite their best efforts, they were unable to advance further in the competition.
