TEKFEST 2.0 at DBCE honours Pawan Vij
Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) hosted TEKFEST 2.0, a collaborative initiative jointly organized by the student's associations of the Mechanical Engineering (MESH) and Electronics and Computer Science departments (DBEATS). The two-day event features participation from various colleges across Goa and includes an exciting array of competitions such as Robo Racer, Robo Soccer, Tech Pitch, CAD Clash, Figma Battle, Reel Making, Arm Wrestling, and more.
The inaugural ceremony, held on April 24, 2025, was graced by Chief Guest, Pawan Vij, director of operations at Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt. Ltd., Goa. Principal, DBCE, Dr Neena Panandikar, along with Dr D.S. Vidhya, head of the ECS department, and Dr Suraj Marathe, head of the mechanical department, were also present on the dais. They were joined by faculty coordinators Michelle Araujo, Anisha Cotta, and Sanjeel Naik, as well as student representatives Loxley Dias, Chairman of DBEATS, and Josiah Fernandes, Chairman of MESH.
Chief Guest, Vij shared valuable insights on the evolving nature of technology across generations, highlighting how it has become synonymous with efficiency by streamlining work and business processes. Drawing from his professional experiences, he emphasized the importance of adaptability and innovation in today’s dynamic workplace.
Dr Panandikar highlighted the event as a celebration of creativity and talent through technology, emphasizing that TEKFEST serves as a valuable platform for students to translate their classroom learning into real-world applications. She extended her best wishes for a successful and impactful event.
Loxley Dias presented a brief overview of the event and Josiah Fernandes proposed the Vote of Thanks.
