The summer camp along with the football coaching at Don Bosco Parra began on 1st May for the age group of 4 to 17 years and the summer camp ended on 21st May 2025 while the Summer Football Coaching ended on 23th May. Around 60 children had enrolled for the football Coaching and 30 students for the Summer camp. The camp aimed to offer a mixture of fun, learning, helping them find out their hidden talent, teaching them some life skills, competitions and indoor and outdoor games, team work and discipline. The objective of the camp was to help them have fun, to encourage teamwork, independence and self- confidence.
Maymol Rocky a former India Women’s football coach, along with 4 other coaches, offered the children energetic and effective football drills, different techniques of passing, Skills and practice to improve their game play.
On May 21, 2025 the summer camp which was filled with joy, friendship, personal growth, learning came to its end with a short programe put up by the children and the final message was delivered by the Rector, Father Wilfred Fernandes. On May 22, 2025, the concluding ceremony of the football Coaching was held. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Father Adrian Pinto, the newly appointed Rector of Don Bosco Parra starting from 2025. Before the prize distribution Father Pinto thanked Ms Maymol and the coaches, and also the children and encouraged the children to come next year and also bring their friends. He also thanked the parents for making time and bringing the children for the football Coaching. For the message he told that football is a discipline sports and continue the discipline in school and in the society. With the prize distribution the football coaching came to the end, leaving behind memories of fun filled, and event full summer vacation.
Action songs, Glass painting, Face and hand Painting, Collage making, games, session on personal hygiene and first aid, Special events like Water games, trekking on the hill, a session and practical on juggling for two days, Cooking without fire were some of the events held during the summer camp of 2025 at Don Bosco, Parra.
