The Don Bosco Youth Paschers of the Salesian Province of Panjim-Konkan, organized an online rosary service to pray for the souls of the victims of the tragic Air India Flight 171 crash, their families, and those involved in rescue and recovery. Over 50 youth and adults came together to intercede to Our Lady and pray for healing and peace in the wake of this tragedy on June 15, 2025.
The virtual rosary was marked by a spirit of deep compassion as participants offered each decade of the rosary for specific intentions — for those who lost their lives in the crash, for their loved ones, for first responders, for the pilots and crew, for the students and civilians who lost their lives, and for the survivors. Each decade was followed by the hymn, Ave Maria.
The service came to an end with a closing prayer followed by a blessing by Director of Don Bosco Youth Services, Province of Panjim (DBYS-INP), Father Austin Fernandes.
