International Yoga Day Celebrated at DBCE

The Department of Physical Education and Sports at Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda, headed by Clifford Britto, Director of Physical Education and Sports, organized a special session to mark the 11th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 at the college auditorium and witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and staff members.



The program commenced at 9:30 a.m. with a welcome address by the Principal, Dr Neena Panandikar, who emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life to promote holistic well-being. This was followed by the introduction of the guest by Ms. Palosha, who highlighted the achievements and experience of the invited yoga instructor.



The resource person for the session was Mrs. Minal Keni, a certified Yoga Instructor from The Art of Living Foundation. Mrs. Keni led the participants through a refreshing and well-structured yoga session comprising asanas, pranayama (breathing techniques), and guided meditation. Her calm and engaging approach created a serene and focused environment, making it a rewarding experience for all attendees.

Later, Ms. Palosha delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the guest and all those involved in making the event a success. As a gesture of gratitude, the Principal presented a token of appreciation and a letter of appreciation to Mrs. Minal Keni for her valuable contribution and efforts in promoting wellness through yoga.

The event concluded on a positive and peaceful note, inspiring participants to integrate yoga into their lifestyle for improved physical and mental health.
