BA Department of Psychology at Don Bosco College (DBC), Panjim, organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled, Enhancing Emotional Intelligence for Proactive Teaching for its teaching faculty on July 16, 2025 at the college AV Hall.



A total of 40 enthusiastic participants attended the programme. The resource person for the session was Assistant Professor, Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, Bambolim, Goa, Vithoba Narayan Mhalkar. He is also a certified Emotional Intelligence Trainer. Through a blend of psychological theories, interactive activities, and practical strategies, Professor Mhalkar guided educators in understanding emotional triggers, building self-awareness, and applying emotional intelligence to foster a more empathetic and proactive teaching environment. Participants found the session engaging, relevant, and transformative. The event was coordinated by Head of the BA Psychology Department, Dr Vijay Viegas. The FDP reflects the college’s ongoing commitment to faculty enrichment and student-centric teaching.
