The Provincial Elective Congress of the Salesian Cooperators of the Salesian Province of Panjim- Konkan was held on Sunday, November, 16 2025, at 9:00 am at the Provincial House, Odxel. A total of fifty-one Cooperators gathered for this important event.
The day began with the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist, animated by Sister Hilda Braganza, provincial delegate for the Salesian Family (FMA), and celebrated by Father Diego Nunes, provincial delegate for the Salesian Family, Salesian Province of Mumbai. The Holy Mass was concelebrated by Provincial, Salesian Province of Panjim Konkan, Father Clive Telles, Father Anisio Mota, provincial delegate for the Salesian Family(INP) and Rector, Provincial House, Father Joel Dsouza.
Following the Eucharistic celebration and a short break, Father Mota welcomed the assembly and introduced the resource persons, Father Nunes and Mrs. Sudha Pillai. Father Clive Telles was then invited to officially declare the Congress open, after which he shared his valuable insights and encouragement with the gathering.
Father Nunes commenced his session with group sharing, leading participants to identify key qualities necessary for every Cooperator to remain active and responsible within their respective units. His session was dynamic and engaging, making use of interactive activities to emphasize his points effectively.
Mrs. Sudha Pillai, focused on the roles, duties, and responsibilities of office bearers. Referring to the PAL, she offered a deep and insightful explanation of the identity and mission of the Cooperator. In a thoughtful gesture, she presented rosaries to all Cooperators, inviting them to pray for one another in their daily prayer time.
Father Mota concluded the morning sessions with a concise summary, offering points for reflection and encouraging all Cooperators to strengthen their units and grow in efficiency and collaboration.

After lunch, the outgoing and incoming councils met in the presence of both delegates for a handover of responsibilities and to share essential information. Although Mrs. Lyneth Pereira, the outgoing Secretary, was absent, the meeting proceeded smoothly. Father Mota congratulated the new council and welcomed them warmly. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing team, Mrs. Maria Fernandes, provincial coordinator, Mrs. Santana D costa, formator, Mr. John Fernandes, administrator and Mrs. Lyneth Pereira for their dedication and service.
The day concluded with warm greetings, expressions of gratitude, and a spirit of renewed commitment filling the atmosphere.
