The culmination of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations coupled with the Annual Thanksgiving Day of Don Bosco School, Trasi was held on December 6, 2025 on the School Ground. The event marked a memorable milestone in the 25 years’ journey of the institution and brought together Salesian Fathers, students, staff, alumni, benefactors, and well-wishers in a spirit of gratitude and celebration. The program was graced by several distinguished guests.
Chief Guest, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus of Mangalore Diocese, graced with his presence the solemnity to the occasion. His words of appreciation for the Salesian Fathers, the management, staff and students were equivalent to the showers of blessing. He reminisced the experience with Don Bosco Salesians and their impressive training and education for the youth, which led him to invite them to this region to make a difference in the lives of many youngsters, and which he added is evident at present in the way the institute has flourished.
President, Provincial of Salesian Province of Panjim, Father Clive Telles presided over the program, offering words of encouragement and appreciation to the institution and the community of Don Bosco Trasi. He congratulated the entire Don Bosco Trasi team for a memorable and grand celebration of the Silver Jubilee. He also reflected on the various phases of development that was seen in the establishment of Don Bosco Institution, Trasi from the Tech College to the present Junior College. He encouraged all the parents and staff to be like genie of Aladdin and be considerate of the wishes of the children by not just granting those wishes, but being present with them and guiding them make the right wishes and choices in life.
A major highlight of the celebration was the felicitation ceremony, held to honour all those who have significantly contributed to the growth and development of Don Bosco Institution, Trasi over the past 25 years. The institute acknowledged the untiring dedication of the teaching and non-teaching staff of Don Bosco Tech College, their hard work that shaped generations of students. Special recognition was also extended to the Salesians who have served the institution over the years, along with the Past Rectors, whose leadership and vision guided the institute through various phases of progress. Their contributions were celebrated with deep respect and heartfelt gratitude. The felicitations were also held for the exceptional student academic achievers from the alumni and the generous donors for the Silver Jubilee Project.
Following the formal ceremony, the atmosphere came alive with a vibrant cultural program by the students. Their performances showcased talent, teamwork, and creativity, reflecting the holistic education that Don Bosco School, Trasi strives to provide. The School Annual Report was then presented on the occasion, offering a comprehensive overview of the institution’s academic achievements, co-curricular activities, and developmental milestones over the past year.
The crowning glory of the evening was the spectacular musical production of the Bosco Theatre Group, Aladdin. This much-anticipated presentation captivated the audience with its colourful sets, lively music, energetic choreography, and impressive performances by the students. The musical served as a fitting finale to an evening that celebrated both the pedagogy of Don Bosco and the youthful vibrancy of the school.
The conclusion of the Silver Jubilee celebrations and Annual Thanksgiving Day at Don Bosco School, Trasi was not just an event, but a tribute to 25 years of faith, dedication, and educational excellence.
