Don Bosco Oros Holds Annual Work Experience Camp

The Annual Work Experience Camp 2025–26 was organized to develop practical skills, discipline and team spirit among the students of Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Oros on January 6 and 7, 2026 on campus. A total of 124 students participated enthusiastically under the guidance of four teachers and the school management.



On day one, after instructions and the day’s schedule, students learnt paper envelope making, which improved their neatness and basic vocational skills. This was followed by a tent pitching session guided by Sir Milind, after which Principal, Father Melwin Ferrao addressed and motivated the students. Students then participated in making brooms using coconut leaves, learning the value of manual work and eco-friendly products.



Day two began with the day inauguration, welcome and explanation of guidelines and camp discipline. A candle making session by resource person Mr. Gracias Fernandes was conducted, giving students exposure to a useful home-based skill. Later, students prepared art items such as paper flowers, stone art, bookmarks and brooms for team presentation, which enhanced creativity and cooperation. A very informative First Aid session was conducted by Mr. Pravin Sulokar together with Sir Milind.



In the afternoon, students cleaned the premises, participated in gardening by planting flowering and vegetable plants, and took part in a cooking competition followed by presentation and judging of dishes and art items done by Teacher Priya and Teacher Samiksha. The announcement of winners, Principal’s address, campus cleaning and closing ceremony marked the end of the camp, leaving students with a sense of achievement, responsibility and confidence in their newly acquired skills.
