MPE Project Executives Training in Documentation and Media Skills Held at Odxel

QUICK BITE -

Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel, hosted a two-day training programme on February 5 and 6, 2026 for the Project Executives of the Salesian provinces engaged in the Mission Poverty Eradication (MPE) initiative of the South Asia region. The programme was organised by Father Tony Pellisserry SDB, national coordinator for the MPE, along with Ms Neha Joseph. Father Royston D’Souza and Mr Rueben Soares of the Konkan Development Office, representing the Panjim Province, served as the local coordinators. The training aimed to strengthen the capacities of project executives in documentation, reporting and the effective use of multimedia tools, with the goal of improving the quality, transparency and impact of project implementation across the provinces.

The first day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, followed by the inaugural session and an input on, Project Outputs and Documentation by Father Tony Pellisserry SDB. Subsequent sessions, led by Ms Neha Joseph, focused on Activity Records and Monthly Reports, as well as the use of video clips and photographs for documentation. Participants were also guided through the preparation of half-yearly and annual reports, with practical tips on systematising data collection and presentation. In the evening, Fr Tony conducted a session on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Salesian Development Goals, and facilitated a discussion on goals and targets for the second year of the MPE project, enabling each executive to reflect on priorities and future directions.

On day two, Ms Joseph led sessions on the preparation and publication of reports, advanced video-editing skills, and the effective use of multimedia tools. These sessions provided hands-on guidance to help participants present their work more clearly and creatively. The programme concluded with a general discussion and valedictory session, during which participants shared their learning experiences and reaffirmed their commitment to more professional and accountable service in their respective provinces.

The training also provided a valuable platform for interaction and the exchange of ideas among the executives. Participants noted that the programme not only improved their technical skills in documentation and video creation but also strengthened collaboration and mutual support among the provinces, ensuring that the tools and insights gained would translate into more effective communication, reporting and outreach in the field.
