Don Bosco College Panjim Organises Colossus XIII

The department of Bachelor in Computer Application, Don Bosco College, Panjim, successfully organised the IT Fest, Colossus - 13th Edition, with great enthusiasm, vibrant participation, and a strong spirit of innovation. The 13th edition of Colossus marked a proud milestone in the department's continued commitment to fostering technical excellence, creativity, and collaborative learning among students.



The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Director, Father Kinley D'Cruz, along with the Principal, Professor Teotone Vaz, and Vice Principal, Dr Cedric Silvera, whose presence added dignity and encouragement to the occasion. Their inspiring words motivated students to explore emerging technologies and strive for innovation in the rapidly evolving IT landscape. The department was privileged to have the CEO of Haztech Innovation, Mohsin Sheikh, as the Chief Guest for the event. An accomplished Computer System Architect, Developer, Security Researcher, and 3D Animator. In his address, he emphasized the importance of practical knowledge, cybersecurity awareness, innovation-driven thinking, and industry readiness among students.



The highlight of the inauguration was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Don Bosco College and Haztech Innovation, marking an important step toward strengthening industry-academic collaboration and creating opportunities for internships, training, and skill development. The event was efficiently coordinated by Event In-charge, Ms. Neeke Golatkar, who formally introduced the Chief Guest and guided the proceedings smoothly. The student leadership team played a crucial role in organizing the fest, with Ms. Diya Prabhu (TYBA) serving as Chairperson and Mr. Joshua Fernandes (SYBCA) as Vice Chairperson, ensuring active student involvement and seamless execution of activities.



Colossus XIII featured a diverse range of competitive and creative events, including Debugging, Debate, IT Quiz, Poster Design, Best out of E-Waste, Al Video Making, and an exciting Hackathon. These events provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their technical skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and innovation, making the fest a grand success. The overall winners of the event were Dnyanprasarak Mandal's College and Research Centre and the Runners up for the event were M.E.S. Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce.
