The Department of Physical Education and Sports of Don Bosco College (DBC), Panjim, successfully hosted the DBC Football League 3.0 from February 7 to March 25, followed by the DBC Football Cup 3.0 on March 28, bringing together students, faculty, and alumni in a vibrant celebration of sport and teamwork.
Nine teams participated in the league, including Red Devils, Shreeyang’23, Gunners FC, Clube De Phoenix, Goal Diggers, Amigos, Night Hawks, Jaguars, and Rising Panthers. The tournament featured a unique player auction system and daily matches held on the college’s 9-a-side turf ground. Red Devils clinched the league title with an unbeaten record of 14 wins and 2 draws, while Shreeyang’23 finished as runners-up.
The top four teams—Red Devils, Shreeyang’23, Clube De Phoenix, and Rising Panthers—advanced to the quarterfinals of the DBC Football Cup 3.0. The cup commenced with the unfurling of the trophies ceremony attended by Chief Guest Glen Souza Ticlo, Chairman of the Goa Football Development Council, and Guest of Honour Mrs. Fransquina Oliveira, along with college dignitaries.
In their addresses, the guests highlighted the importance of sports in character-building and encouraged students to pursue athletics alongside academics. The event also featured the presentation of interclass championship awards, alumni recognitions, and individual honours.

The tournament concluded with Rising Panthers emerging as cup champions after a narrow 1–0 victory over Shreeyang’23 in the final. Individual awards were presented to standout performers, including Rishit Lotlikar (Best Male Player) and Aqsa Sayed (Best Female Player).
The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and active participation within the Don Bosco College community.
