The Salesian community of Don Bosco Vikas Kendra (DBVK), Honnihalli, organized a vibrant series of summer camps under the theme, Summer Fun & Learn 2026, led by Clerics Winston Pinto and Neil D’Souza from April 5 to 13, 2026. The camps were held across various centers, Konankeri on April 5, Pachapur on April 6, Honnihalli School from April 7 to 9, Pamaldhinni on April 10, DBVK Honnihalli on April 11, St. Michael Church, Hidkal on April 12, and concluded with a visit to Silverdale Eventide Home, Sankeshwar on April 13, 2026.



Each day was filled with energy and purpose, bringing together children and young people in an atmosphere of joy, learning, and companionship. The program blended outdoor games with indoor activities such as action songs, interactive sessions, and guided reflections, helping participants grow in teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. The lively participation and enthusiasm of the children reflected the spirit of togetherness fostered throughout the camp.



A special highlight was the cultural program held on April 11, 2026 at DBVK Honnihalli, which added a festive dimension to the initiative. The event included prize distribution and recognition of tailoring women students from Honnihalli and Kakti, making it a moment of encouragement and celebration for the wider community.



Salesian Fathers, Brothers, and facilitators journeyed with the children at every stage, ensuring a welcoming, disciplined, and inclusive environment. The experience left a lasting impression on the participants, nurturing values of cooperation, confidence, and mutual respect. As one child expressed, I enjoyed playing with my friends and learned how to work together as a team.

The entire initiative stood as a beautiful expression of the Salesian spirit of educating through joy, making Summer Fun & Learn 2026 a truly enriching and memorable experience.
