Interclass table tennis winners TYBBA
Don Bosco College (DBC), Panjim, department of Physical Education and Sports organised an Interclass Table Tennis Tournament on July 18, 2026 at the Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 14 classes and was conducted with the aim of promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Principal Professor Teotone Vaz, Assistant Professor in Travel and Tourism, Glenda Mascarenhas, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Ryan Pereira and Instructor in Physical Education, Prissie Fernandes. Ms. Mascarenhas encouraged the participants to compete with dedication, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship in her opening speech.

The tournament featured exciting and closely contested matches throughout the day, with students displaying remarkable skill, determination, and teamwork. The enthusiastic participation of all the classes contributed to the success of the event.

The closing ceremony was graced by Rhea Noronha, assistant professor in physical education who presented the trophies, medals and certificates to the winners and congratulated all the participants for their commendable performances. Shaivi Bandorcar (TYBBA) was awarded the Best Female Player, while Arun Unkal (TYBBA) received the Best Male Player award. TYBBA emerged as the overall champions of the tournament, while SYBBA T&T secured the runners-up position. The tournament concluded on a successful note, promoting the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and the message of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, inspiring students to embrace a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
