Guests release Procyon 2024 Souvenir at DBCE

Procyon 2024, an annual event of Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda, began with the hosts Gretchen Pereira and Sherwin Dias welcoming the Chief Guest, Miguel Jacob Carmo Luis Fernandes (Prince Jacob), renowned tiatrist, Guest of Honour Princeton Colaco, singer –songwriter, Director DBCE, Father Kinley D’cruz, Principal DBCE, Dr Neena Panandikar, Administrator, Father Leo Pereira, Cultural Secretary, Abhishek Dias and General Secretary, Varun Castello and the gathering.

Dr Neena Panandikar in her address said, Procyon, a interclass two-day fiesta gives the students an opportunity to showcase their talents in various cultural activities on a common platform and we are indeed privileged to witness a showcase of skills and ideas that our students possess. She wished the participants and organizers success for the entire event.

Father Kinley D’cruz said, college life is one of the most remarkable and lovable times in an individual life. In college, we begin to learn new things, face new challenges and besides all we have a lot of fun. Here at DBCE, we encourage students to celebrate the enthusiasm and positivity to develop into well rounded multi-faceted person and the aim is to offer students opportunity to bloom, develop, thrive together and also to come together to celebrate. He encouraged the students to have fun, cheer their fellow students and to celebrate their achievements, accomplishments and themselves.

Chief guest, Miguel Jacob Carmo Luis Fernandes, in his address boosted the students saying, what you become in life is not what studies make you. It depends upon how you present yourself in society. To the students gathered, he affirmed, Do what you like, rest will follow.

Procyon 2024 Souvenir was released on the occasion followed by the release of colorful balloons to mark the opening of Procyon 2024 by the Chief Guest along with all other dignitaries.

Varun Castello gave the welcome address on behalf of the student’s council. The vote of thanks was proposed by Abhishek Dias.
